Beautiful and intricate, yet surpisingly intuitive — this description applies to many patterns in this issue, such as the stunning cover knit: Julia Wilkens’ Elles sweater, inspired by vintage lace garments. In Sarah Hatton’s Gardom sweater, the abundance of cables provides an engaging and rewarding knitting experience.
This issue includes some lovely colourwork pieces. In Eun Mi Ahn’s Jääpuikot jumper, bold diamonds and zigzag motifs flow across the yoke, creating a striking yet timeless design. The flower pattern Lisa Richardson’s Love Heart Flowers cardigan was inspired by her son’s drawing, whereas Lili Tobias’ Gingham mittens recreate the classic fabric pattern in a knitted form.
If you are hoping to keep warm this winter, we have a few suggestions for you! Thien-Kieu Lam’s large and cosy Forager shawl is the perfect winter accessory, and Henna Ketonen’s double-layer Enfold hat might just be the warmest beanie you’ll ever come across!

“This was our second time shooting together, and the atmosphere was relaxed. I fell so much in love with our location, Runo Hotel, that I ended up booking a staycation at one of their art retreats to celebrate my birthday!”

— Marie Noël Yläoutinen, the model of this issue’s knitwear photos
