Ystävä cardigan knitting pattern (meaning “friend” in Finnish) by Jonna Helin is a relaxed, top-down cardigan worked as one piece using two yarns held together: BFL + Masham DK Single by SnailYarn and Silk Mohair by Isager.

This handmade cardigan pattern features a loose, comfortable fit with textured stitch detailing that enhances its cosy, airy drape. Worked on US 6 / 4 mm needles, Ystävä is perfect for knitters seeking a soft, wearable knitwear project for layering in any season.

Yarn: 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 8, 8, 9, 9) skeins of BFL + Masham DK Single by SnailYarn (75% BFL, 25% Masham, 219 yds / 200 m
– 100 g), colourway Weld + Logwood, and 5 (5, 6, 6, 7, 8, 8, 9, 9) balls of Silk Mohair by Isager (75% super kid mohair, 25% silk), 232 yds / 212 m – 25 g, colourway 0.

Needles: US 6 / 4 mm circular needles.

Notions: 4 stitch markers, waste yarn, tapestry needle, 8 buttons (diameter approx. 0.7” / 18 mm).

GAUGE
20.5 sts and 27 rows to 4” / 10 cm on US 6 / 4 mm needles in stitch pattern, after blocking.

Once packages leave Finland, they become the responsibility of your national postal service or courier company. We can provide tracking and customs information upon request.
