52 Weeks of Sweaters is the eighth volume in the hugely popular 52 Weeks book series – and it is also the title that has been requested from us more than any other! We have expanded the theme to include a few other knitted garments as well, namely cardigans, vests and slipovers.
In this book, you’ll find a wide range of techniques from simple stockinette stitch to textures, colourwork and cables (and even one crochet piece). The projects range from challenging to easy, so beginner sweater knitters will also find suitable patterns.
The patterns are created by 52 talented designers from around the world, and they showcase just how versatile knitted garments can be — from delicate cardigans that pair with an evening dress, to warm jumpers that double as outerwear.

“52 Weeks of Sweaters truly is great value for many — you don’t often find 52 garment patterns in one single book! The range of styles is also delightfully wide. You will find, for example, a knitted counterpart to the classic sweatshirt, a beautifully graphic lace sweater, or a charming, flower-adorned colourwork jumper.”

Brilliant collection of sweaters/cardigans for

Brilliant collection of sweaters/cardigans for all seasons. Just a lovely book to browse through, difficult to select your first project.
I choose the Dis (52) by Elisabeth Vikenes, just perfect for the silk mohair from Along Avec Anna. Gorgeous colour and lightness holding the two strands together for a (hopefully) early/late summer cardigan.

You will find more than one you want to cast on now!

It is rare to find a book where I want to knit more than one sweater but this one exceeds all expectation! I want to knit them all! I love Anna Daku ‘s cardigan so pretty! But really they are all beautiful. Now I just need to pick my yarn!

A book worth buying

I rarely buy pattern books because I don't usually like enough of the items to make it worth buying. This book is an exception. I would like to make over half of the sweaters in this volume! That makes this an exceptional resource for my quest to knit up my stash.

Too many amazing sweaters, too little time

The book is full of amazing, easily understandable patterns. Maybe most not for absolute beginners, as there are not step by step always, but you can start with the easy ans work your way up. Pre-ordered the book and am just about to finish Æbleblomst and have just cast on two other sweaters from the book, so definitely worth the price.. cant wait for having a small “capsule collection” of sweaters from it.
Now we just wait for a similar book of cardigans or summer knits… 😀

Fabulous collection!

There are so many beautiful sweater patterns in this book, and what a range! I quite literally went out and purchased the exact yarn featured in one of the patterns right after reading through. I think there are 4 of these in my knitting “queue” right now. Thank you for such a great collection!

Very happy with this book

Very happy with this book.
As always beautiful quality and superb photography.
Lots of excellent basic patterns in here - perfect to tweak and make your own.
Out of the 52 patterns, I can see myself making 30 of them!! Which makes this great value too.

Lynne S,
Best knitting pattern book of the year

Excellent pattern book. I'd like to knit about 2/3 of the patterns (a pretty big percentage for a general pattern book), and I like the last 1/3 but would need another lifetime to make them. Photos are good, and the stories and information about the designs, designers, and about Finland add to its appeal.

This is a gorgeous book with fabulous photos

This is a gorgeous book with fabulous photos (where you can still see all of the sweaters and not just the backdrops!) These patterns are all accessible, and I’ve already purchased the yarn to make 2 of them.

Dreams of knitting!

I haven’t even made it through the whole book yet because I have stopped at so many patterns to dream about what colors I would use, what yarns and so on! I am thrilled with this book and if I never get around to knitting more than one item from it, the mental pleasure I get is worth it!!!!!

When purchasing a book, there must be three or more projects I want to knit. "52 Weeks of Sweaters" exceeds my expectations!
