Pattern Previews for 52 Weeks of Easy Knits

Our loved and cherished 52 Weeks book series has a sequel: 52 Weeks of Easy Knits! This time we have put together a collection that is unlike anything you’ve seen before.

Take a closer look at the knits in 52 Weeks of Easy Knits.

Audrey by Jonna Hietala

At first a few increases, then some straightforward knitting, and finally a bunch of blissful decreases. It is as simple as that to make this headband, which has echoes from the 1950s.

Dip Dye by Elise Damstra

The Dip Dye scarf may be long but it is worked entirely in Linen Stitch, so once you get the hang of it, just keep going! This repetitive stitch pattern looks more like weaving than knitting.

Knitword by Natalya Berezynska

This big, snuggly scarf features eye-catching KNIT letters. The repeated text is created with just knit and purl stitches, which means that the scarf is a great way to learn reading charts.

Birke by Jonna Hietala

Birke is an uncomplicated, asymmetrical shawl knitted with earthy tones – but why not play with the two contrast colours and make the most of all the silk mohair ends in your stash?

Diamond Twill by Nina Pommerenke

This warm and lightweight vest is knitted in Icelandic unspun Plötulopi yarn. It features a beautiful yet simple-to-knit diamond pattern, which is created with just knit and purl stitches.

Vaapukka by Pauliina Kuunsola

Marta by Sidsel Grau Petersen

Marta is a vest in all-over Garter Stitch. This is a quick and easy pattern that has a fun construction: it is knitted sideways. Get creative with the embroidered stripes!

Viimein by Veera Jussila

Capreoli by Renate Kamm

This scarf is a great way to explore knitting with two strands of yarn held together and play with colour combinations. The fabric is sturdy and fully reversible.

Joyce by Miriam Walchshäusl

This set consists of a hat, a scarf and a pair of fingerless mitts. With large needles and DK-weight yarn, these accessories knit up fast. The stitch pattern is rewarding but not too hard to create.

Juttu by Isabell Kraemer

Juttu is your new favourite cardigan! Thanks to its top-down construction, it’s easy to try it on as you go. The stitch patterns may look long – but it’s all knits, purls and slipped stitches.

Kreuzberg by Rebekka Mauser

The Kreuzberg slipover features wide stripes in seven colours. It is named after a Berlin neighbourhood where Rebekka Mauser stumbled upon a 1970s slipover that inspired this modern knit.

Tivoli by Jonna Hietala

Tivoli is an easy pattern that will keep you entertained and teach you a couple of fun new tricks. The addictive stripe pattern makes sure you will finish the sweater in no time.

Rattan by Luuanne Chau

This cropped sweater is knitted in simple Stockinette Stitch that comes alive with a textured bouclé yarn. The V-neck and the hem are worked in a different yarn in a slipped-stitch motif.

Koket by Maaike van Geijn

A beret is the chicest hat there is! The shape is created with increases and decreases, but there are also sections where you can relax by knitting Stockinette Stitch.

Funky Turtle by Teti Lutsak

Funky Turtle is a relaxed, cute pullover that is worked seamlessly from the top down. Teti Lutsak wanted to make it a simple knit that is still truly unique.

Softie by Jonna Hietala
