Shipping and delivery

We deliver worldwide!

All orders are shipped from our warehouse located in Tampere, Finland. Our webstore delivers worldwide!

Orders are dispatched within 1-3 business days. During sales and promotional campaigns, delivery times might be longer. If something unexpected happens with our timeline, we will contact you ASAP.

Shipping Costs

    Shipping costs will vary based on the shipping method and the package weight. We use the following shipping and carrier services:

    • Finland: Posti, Matkahuolto
    • Europe: DHL
    • Rest of the world: FedEx

    The final shipping cost is calculated after you add products to your cart and proceed to checkout.

    Free shipping

    Free shipping applies to orders over:

    • Finland: 50 €
    • Baltics (Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia)  70 €
    • Europe: 70 €
    • Europe Non-EU (Iceland, Norway, Switzerland): 80 €
    • USA: 200 €
    • Rest of the World: 150 €

    Subscription products are excluded from free shipping.

    Laine Publishing is not responsible for any additional customs clearance charges. Customs policies vary widely from country to country, so please get in touch with your local customs office for further information. Once packages leave Finland, they are the responsibility of your national postal service or courier company. We can provide customs numbers and package information upon request.

    We are legally obligated to represent all international purchases as “merchandise” with exact values. We do not mark items as “gifts” or declare a value lower than the price paid by the buyer. Other countries may charge customs fees. You may be subject to import duties and taxes upon arrival of the package in your country.

    Please note:

    • Addresses should be written using the Latin alphabet, as our courier companies require it.
    • Please provide a street address instead of a P.O. Box for FedEx and DHL Express.
    • We can only help locate your order or reimburse you for lost or damaged shipments if you choose a shipping option with tracking.
    • Regarding DHL Globalmail: Please note that the tracking number for your shipment is sent through Globalmail's system from noreply-packet@deutschepost.com.

    Note to our US customers

    We will continue shipping to the US as usual after the new tariff regulations take effect on 29 August. Based on the information currently available, books and magazines will remain exempt from tariffs, while yarns, planners and notebooks may be subject to import tariffs.

    In accordance with U.S. regulations, any applicable tariffs or import duties are assessed by U.S. authorities and are the responsibility of the importer at the time of delivery. These charges are determined by law and are outside our control.

    Digital Downloads

    Digital downloads are available as PDF downloads. Once you purchase a digital product, you will be emailed a unique link to download the contents on your computer, phone, or tablet. You will get an email whenever we update the PDF file. Due to the nature of PDF downloads, we do not offer refunds for digital purchases.

    Cancellations and returns

    If you wish to cancel your order, notify us immediately at hello@lainepublishing.com. All orders can be cancelled before fulfilment and shipping. Once your order has been shipped, you must follow the returns instructions.

    To return or exchange any items from your order, notify us at hello@lainepublishing.com
    within 14 days of delivery. Returned items must be in their original condition and resellable. We will provide exchange instructions by email.

    You are responsible for return shipping costs and we cannot be held responsible for any shipments that do not return to us. Please note that 2nd quality Friend Sale products cannot be returned.

    As soon as we receive and inspect the returned items, we will refund the price of your order, including shipping, via the original payment method.
