Erika Åberg (@wynja)is a knitwear designer and writer living with her family and dog on Gotland, an island off the east coast of Sweden, in the middle of the Baltic Sea. Erika is deeply rooted in Scandinavian sloyd and craft and the design process always starts in the wool. Her designs are based on the love of nature, wool and island life. Art, literature and tradition. Practical, wearable and poetic. Erika leads wool and walk tours to Gotland, Shetland and Iceland among other island and coastal areas where you get to meet the landscape as well as the weather and the wool.

The Island and the Forest: A Knitted Correspondence is her eleventh book.
