Laine Nordic Knits 2 features 15 patterns that are practical, thoughtful, timeless and well-suited to colder climates — yet never compromising on beauty. The patterns all come from Nordic yarn brands or designers based in the Nordic countries, and they are worked using Nordic yarns. Their understated Nordic aesthetics are also reflected in the magazine itself: beautifully photographed and thoughtfully laid out, a publication you will want to keep on your coffee table — but one that you will also get plenty of use from! The photos were taken at the stunning Villa Ervi, designed by the Finnish architect Aarne Ervi.

This collection offers a combination of elegance and practicality. Many of the knits are worked in classic, understated shades of white, grey and brown, but there is also some lovely colour play — like in the cosy Fjäll scarf by Sara Ottosson (@handvarkat), featured on the cover of the issue!
Nordic Knits 2 is a treat for sweater knitters! It includes eight beautiful sweater patterns worked in various techniques: from beloved Icelandic colourwork sweaters to cosy ribbed pullovers and simple stockinette stitch.
The knitwear photos were taken at Villa Ervi, designed by the Finnish architect Aarne Ervi for his family and completed in 1951. The house, located in the maritime neighborhood of Kuusisaari in Helsinki, is a beautiful example of Nordic aesthetics.
