Description

With its relaxed silhouette, delicate lace and quietly elegant details, the Lazybones sweater is a timeless knit designed for both comfort and ease. Designed by Heli Hottinen-Puukko for Laine 30, the airy lace motif adds just the right amount of interest while remaining simple to memorise and enjoyable to work.

Lazybones is knitted seamlessly from the top down using one strand of fingering-weight yarn held together with two strands of silk mohair. This combination creates a pillowy fabric that feels wonderfully light yet cosy. Its classic, understated style makes it an effortless addition to any handmade wardrobe.

This knitting kit includes the yarn needed to make your own Lazybones sweater in your chosen colourway:

The sample sweater is knitted in Deep Burgundy (4ply) and Feelings (silk mohair).

Please note that the knitting pattern is not included in this kit. You can find the Lazybones pattern in Laine Magazine Issue 30, available separately.

Simply select your size to receive the correct amount of yarn. Refer to the Sizing tab for guidance on choosing the right size for your kit.

Lazybones is worked seamlessly from the top down with one strand of fingering-weight yarn and two strands of silk mohair held together, creating a pillowy fabric that is light yet cosy. The deep burgundy shade works wonderfully for autumn.
The classic, relaxed sweater doesn’t flaunt its details, but has quiet elegance and balance.
The lace pattern creates an airy and interesting fabric. The motif is created with knit and purl stitches, yarn overs and simple decreases — it is easy to remember and engaging to work, once you get started.

“I often design knits that include techniques and details requiring some prior knitting experience. This time, I wanted to create an accessible pattern that is quite classic, but where an easy lace pattern adds just the right amount of interest.”
