Laine 30, Layers, features a beautiful collection of knits to wrap yourself in as the weather starts to cool. The collection includes lovely textures, delicate lace, plump cables, as well as stunning colourwork. The photos were taken in a rustic, historical mill setting, where layers of past decades were beautifully present — evoking a sense of nostalgia and longing. The crisp sunlight added a beautiful finishing touch to the photos.

Laine Issue 30 includes some meditative projects for those autumn nights — such as Menamu, a relaxed-fit raglan pullover with an easy-to memorise stitch pattern, or the Ljung sweater with a repetitive texture using slipped, knit and purl stitches.
The knits in this collection are worked in a variety of techniques: Anniina Juuti’s Huurre vest combines plump cables with defined ribbing, Heli Hottinen-Puukko's Lazybones sweater is worked in an easy lace pattern, whereas Meghan Haughton’s Hestia sweater features a striking colourwork motif.
